About Coach

I have been surrounded by fitness my entire life. I earned my Black belt in martial arts at the age of 13, I won state in high school swimming in Utah, I swam for the University of Utah for a year before joining the Coast Guard to become a rescue swimmer. During all of that, I was training at my local CrossFit gyms. I started when I was 14 years old. Thanks to my coaches and CrossFit family, I have been able to do incredible things in my life. I take pride in my physical capabilities and in being able to adapt to any challenge life throws at me. CrossFit has laid the foundation for me to be able to accomplish any goal I set for myself.

Turning Point

I want everyone to achieve their goal, whatever that goal looks like. I want the people I coach to look back and be proud of what they decided to accomplish.

Motivation & Passion

I have gone through several periods of burnout in my life from pushing myself to achieve something that I didn’t even really want. My favorite quote is from Heath Ledger, he said, “Everyone you meet always asks if you have a career, are married, or own a house as if life were some kind of grocery list. But no one ever asks if you are happy.” I strive to do what makes me happy, even if it’s the harder path. If you don’t enjoy what you’re doing or where you’re heading, how long can you sustain that?
