About Coach

Growing up, I played just about every sport I could, eventually becoming a state champion in both wrestling and tennis. Athletics were always a part of my life, but fitness wasn’t. Through my early adult years, I struggled with alcohol addiction, spending more time partying than taking care of my health. Those choices eventually led to a DUI, the loss of my home and car, and ultimately homelessness. At my lowest point, I made the decision to voluntarily enter a 9-month residential alcohol treatment program. That decision changed the course of my life. After graduating, I committed myself to sobriety and have now been sober for over 9 years. During that journey, God called me to Hawaii, where I found a new purpose and a fresh start. Ironically, I never lifted weights until my mid-20s. During COVID, I weighted 190lbs, so I hired a personal trainer and transformed my health, losing over 50 pounds. What started as a weight-loss journey quickly became something much deeper. Fitness became a tool for growth, discipline, healing, and most importantly maintaining my sobriety. Today, as a CrossFit coach & perosnal trainer, my passion is helping others discover what they’re truly capable of! Both inside and outside the gym. Whether you’re stepping into a gym for the first time or chasing new athletic goals, I believe fitness has the power to transform lives because I’ve experienced that transformation firsthand.

Turning Point

My turning point was when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior. Before that, I was trying to fix my life on my own and kept ending up in the same broken places. When I surrendered my life to God, everything changed. He gave me the strength to get and stay sober. He opened the door for me to move to Hawaii and begin a new chapter. He led me into fitness, resulting in a 50-pound weight loss, the purchase of my 1st house, & sobriety. This restored opportunities I thought I’d lost forever, and blessed me with things I once only dreamed about. But the greatest gift wasn’t any of those things; it was discovering that my purpose is to serve others. Today, I have the privilege of helping people grow stronger physically through fitness while encouraging them spiritually through faith. Everything I have and everything I’ve accomplished is because of God’s grace. My story isn’t about how I changed my life; it’s about how God changed it for me.

Motivation & Passion

I don’t coach because fitness changed my life. I coach because I’ve seen what God can do through it. My passion for coaching comes from knowing what it’s like to struggle. I’ve experienced addiction, loss, failure, self-doubt, and starting over from the ground up. Because of that, I don’t see fitness as just workouts, PRs, or physical transformation. I see it as a tool that can change lives. Fitness gave me confidence when I had none. It gave me discipline when I needed direction. It taught me consistency, perseverance, and how to keep showing up even when I didn’t feel like it. Most importantly, it became a way for me to honor the second chance God gave me. What motivates me today is helping others discover they’re capable of more than they think. Whether someone’s goal is to lose weight, get stronger, compete, or simply become healthier for their family, I love being part of that journey. Watching someone accomplish something they once believed was impossible is incredibly rewarding. I believe every person who walks into a gym is fighting a battle nobody can see. My goal as a coach is to help people grow stronger—not just physically, but mentally and spiritually as well. If my story proves anything, it’s that no matter where you start, God can use discipline, faith, and hard work to transform your life.
