CrossFit Level 2
I wouldn't have described myself as an athlete growing up. I spent a few years doing karate and played soccer, basketball, and volleyball recreationally, but fitness wasn't a major part of my life. That changed in college when I joined the Army ROTC program and was introduced to running and weightlifting. In 2014, after recovering from an ankle injury, I was looking for a way to get back into shape and walked into my first CrossFit class. What started to rebuild my fitness quickly became something much bigger. CrossFit challenged me physically and mentally, taught me the value of consistency, and introduced me to a community that pushes each other to become better every day. As an Army officer, fitness has always been an important part of my profession, but CrossFit has shown me that being fit isn't just about performance—it's about building resilience, discipline, and confidence that carries over into every aspect of life
Becoming a father completely changed the way I look at health and fitness. My goals are no longer just about lifting heavier weights or setting personal records. I want to be healthy, capable, and active for the long haul so I can keep up with my son and be present throughout every stage of his life. That shift in perspective reminded me that fitness isn't a destination—it's an investment in the future. Every workout is an opportunity to become a stronger husband, father, leader, and coach.
The best part about coaching is helping people discover they're capable of more than they thought possible. Whether it's someone getting their first pull-up, learning an Olympic lift, hitting a new PR, or simply walking into the gym with more confidence than they had the day before, those moments never get old. I believe CrossFit is for everyone, regardless of where they're starting. My goal as a coach is to create an environment where athletes feel supported, challenged, and encouraged to keep showing up. Progress looks different for everyone, but with consistency and the right mindset, incredible things can happen
